“Green” Enthusiasts are always trying to discover ways of taking items that would go to waste and put them to go use for functionality reasons or for artistic reasons. We can’t help but to support these “Green” Enthusiasts! Imagine taking items in your home that you would just throw away and putting them into a new creation and selling them to others for money.

What You May Have Not Known About High Security Locks

Some High Security Locks can or can’t be rekeyed! Following are some of the major brands for High Security Locks.

Medeco High Security Locks – Can be rekeyed. Although, you must go to the locksmith that installed the lock for you. They have the control key that they in order to rekey the lock. If you no longer have contact with the locksmith, then you will need to install a new lock.

Schlage High Security Locks – Can be rekeyed. You do not need anything for these locks to be rekeyed. There may be disadvantages to this. Just something that you may need to think about.

Mul-T-Lock High Security Locks – Cannot be rekeyed. This could be considered an added benefit to high security locks. If you are someone that doesn’t require to have rekeys then you could always have a key lock box to keep outside of your home – this is a great way to keep a spare key outside of your home but also keeping it secure.

If you have any other brand, you can always contact the manufacturer to see if your lock can be rekeyed and then make your calls around to the local locksmiths to see if they can or will rekey your lock.
